Howdy! We have been busy little maidens again this week!
On Monday we played at a memorial event, for Paul McMullen. Paul was the tour manager for the Fisherman's Friends, who was tragically killed in an accident, the day after we spent the evening with them, opening their show at the Alban Arena.  The memorial was a chance for people to share memories of Paul, and for some of his acts to sing.  We were asked to sing, and had a really lovely, special evening.  Although it's obviously a hugely sad thing to have lost him, it was a really lovely event, with tears, laughter, sadness and joy. The Fisherman's Friends closed the night with two songs. It was the first time they had played in public since the accident, we believe, and they sounded fantastic. It was so nice to see them again and to chat and catch up. They truly are the nicest bunch of guys you could ever hope to meet, and we really hope to be able to work with them again in the future. We also had the pleasure of meeting the one and only Steve Knightley, who travelled up with the Fisherman's Friends, to play as well. He's a lovely man!

On Tuesday we played at Green Note in Camden, to a teeny audience.  We opened for Hannah James and Sam Sweeney, who played an incredible gig. It was a great night, and we had a little chuckle with Hannah James afterwards, about the mix ups that occured between her and our Hannah! At least that's all sorted now.
Thursday found us at Great Bardfield, playing at a great folk club in the Quakers Meeting house, and Friday was spent playing at Balstock Festival.  Again, we've shifted a fair few CDs this week, and made some new friends and fans, so hello, welcome and thank you!

In other, exciting news, our Songs From The Shed session is now LIVE on the internet. Watch it on their fantastic website HERE We feel truly honoured to be part of such an incredible line up. Previous visitors to the Shed include Seth Lakeman, Blair Dunlop, Steve Knightley and Fairport Convention, so we're amongst some of the best!

We have a week off now, until Folkstock on Saturday. It's going to be an amazing event! If you haven't bought tickets already, buy them HERE We're on the main stage at 6:35pm. Our first main stage appearance! Very exciting! And if you come and see us there, you'll be one of the first people to hear our amazing announcement! We've been waiting to tell people our exciting news for a few months now, but Folkstock is the perfect chance, so be there if you want to hear it straight from us!  And if you do come along, be sure to say hi, and buy a CD if you haven't already :) We love meeting new people and are always up for a chat.

Until then
