We hope you're all well.
Just a quick update regarding the Dave Swarbrick gig at The Derby Assembly Rooms on 26 April. Unfortunately there was a massive fire at the venue a couple of weeks ago, and as a result, this gig has been cancelled. The venue will be contacting ticket holders for refunds, shortly.
In the meantime, Said The Maiden have been talking to The Assembly Rooms' Programme Manager, who is helping to organise some St George's Day celebrations around that week. He has very kindly asked us to play at an event on the 26 April, to replace the gig we should have been doing. Dave will not be joining us for this one, but there will be plenty of other fantastic music and dancing. We'll be doing a 40 minute set in the late afternoon.
We will keep you updated as we hear more information on that.
There are still plenty of Dave Swarbrick gigs around the UK, some pretty close to Derby, so, if you were hoping to join us at The Assembly Rooms, do check out our other dates, on the Calendar Page.
Rehearsals are going well, and we're so excited to get on the road, and play you some new stuff, and some stuff with Dave, and meet loads more people.
And remember, if you are coming to see us, do come and say hello :)
On another note, the 'Passing The Baton' EP which Dave has made with Folkstock Records, and which features us singing Shady Grove, is now available to listen to on Soundcloud. The physical CD copies will be available on the tour.
