Happy New Year everybody! We hope 2015 is treating you well so far? Can you believe January is nearly gone already!!!
We had a great first gig of the year, last week at Watford Folk Club. It was lovely to be back there, as we hadn't played there for a couple of years. In fact, Watford was the venue for our first ever full length headline gig! We tried a new song, which we are really excited about playing more. It feels like a very different type of song to what we would normally choose, so it's been a lot of fun arranging it and learning it.
Our next gig is a double headliner with our pal, Kelly Oliver, at Green Note Camden, this coming Monday. We always have a great time playing there, so do get tickets if you can.
We have a couple more new gigs on our calendar page. We don't have a huge number of gigs for 2015 at the moment, but they do tend to come as fairly last minute bookings for us, so we're hoping that changes. But the gigs we do have are very exciting. We are, once again, supporting the briliant Jim Moray, and also Sam Carter. We're travelling down to Poole in the summer to play at the Poole Museum for The Logboat Sessions, and we're particularly excited to have been asked back to play at the second London Folk Fayre at Cecil Sharp House. We were so hounoured to play at the first one last year, in a legendary building, amongst an incredible line up, and we're so chuffed to have been invited back. This time we will be joining a line up that includes Blackbeard's Tea Party, The Foxglove Trio, Kelly Oliver and more. It's going to be a brilliant day, so do come along.
Well, that's it for now, but keep checking our Twitter, Facbook and Calendar for more gigs :)
See you soon
