More about our ep

PledgeMusic got in touch with us recently and asked us a few questions about our campaign and our EP. We recorded a video of our answers, which will be up soon, but in the meantime, here's the lowdown on our next release.

The EP is going to be called 'Of Maids and Mariners'. It consists of 4 tracks: 2 recorded, mixed and produced by Stu Hanna and 2 recorded live in front of a folk club audience. The track list includes:

The Soldier and The Maid
Polly Can You Swim
Spring Tide Rising

A lot of people, after pretty much all of our gigs, ask us if they will ever be able to get hold of Jolene on cd. This EP will be the only time it's recorded, and we're only printing a limited run of CDs, so if you want to be able to listen to Jolene over and over again, you should definitely grab yourself a copy of the EP!

We're releasing The Soldier and The Maid as our 'single' and accompanying it with a professionally filmed music video, featuring professional actors and costume costume and locations. The fabulous Elly Lucas is taking some shots of us for both the EP artwork and promo shots for publicity and marketing.

If you want to buy a copy of the EP, you can pre order it from www.pledgemusic.com/projects/saidthemaiden

We'd really appreciate pre orders, as they will help us raise the money we need for all of this to happen successfully. We don't have very much time left on our campaign, and are a long way away from our target. If you do pre order the EP, and the campaign is not a success, then We do not get any of the money pledged, which means that you don't lose out on any money (it doesn't leave your account unless we reach our target) and you are free to buy the cd once it's been released. But if you know you're going to buy it anyway, you might as well pre order, hey!?

Again, it really would mean the world to us if our friends and fans could help us raise the money we need. We're hoping to get £3000 to cover the cost of everything we want to do. Without that money we're going to really struggle. And anything we raise over the target will go to extra bonus fun stuff like merchandise and touring. And Tommy's Baby Charity.

Please please do continue to support music

Thanks guys
